Make mental health & well-being for all a global priority!
We are organizing an Open Doors Day in the “Hidden Likes” Youth House for World Mental Health Day (10th of October).
Our world is reeling from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, wars, displacement, and the climate emergency, all of which have consequences for the well-being of world citizens. Rates of people experiencing suicidal ideas are increasing globally and people with lived experiences of mental health, their families, and other populations continue to tell us that their mental health is not always at the forefront of governments, those who pay for services, or society at large. Stigma and discrimination continue to be barriers to social inclusion and access to proper care.
There are however some good news messages. There is increasing evidence that the prevention of mental ill health is possible by using both general and targeted evidence-based interventions.
If your son or daughter suffers from depression, anxiety, eating disorders, or other mental health problems.
If he or she does not study or work, if he/she is isolated from peer groups.
If you feel that you need psychological guidance and answers to the questions that bother you.
You are welcome to take a look at our Youth House, learn about our activities, and share your difficulties.
“Hidden Likes” Youth House offers free and varied activities, including individual and group counseling, animal therapy, art classes, sports, and seminars for a healthier lifestyle.
The event will take place on October 10, between 2 and 5 p.m., at 65 Knyaz Boris I Street, Sofia.
We are expecting you!
